I'm back from Smalltown + feature

Fri Aug 28, 2009, 7:02 AM
Hello, hello.
I'm officially back from the film I was working on--Smalltown. Did a lot of scenic stuff, but was bumped up to Art Director. Our sets turned out awesome and if all goes as planned, I'll have some more projects lined up.
If you are interested, you can check out some stills and behind the scenes stuff over at the film's website: [link]

I met some really awesome people--one of which is on dA. His photography is breathtaking and his composite photos are absolutely fantastic. He knows more than a thing or two about lighting and not only does it show in his film work (he, himself, is steadycamtastic) but I was thoroughly impressed by his still photography. So go head over to his gallery and give him some love: ~jeffmelansonfilms

In the forest, there was a crooked tree and a straight tree. Every day, the straight tree would say to the crooked tree, "Look at me...I'm tall, and I'm straight, and I'm handsome. Look at you...you're all crooked and bent over. No one wants to look at you." And they grew up in that forest together. And then one day the loggers came, and they saw the crooked tree and the straight tree, and they said, "Just cut the straight trees and leave the rest." So the loggers turned all the straight trees into lumber and toothpicks and paper. And the crooked tree is still there, growing stronger and stranger every day. - Tom Waits

My name is Michaela Thunberg and I'm from Sweden. I'm organizing a steampunk LARP and I wonder if you'd let me borrow one or two pictures you have put up on DeviantArt for inspiration for our members and workshops. The pictures will be shown on our website. [link]
Of course we will link to you website and deviantart page and put a copyright-logo with you name on it (either under the picture or on it).

Hope to hear from you soon!
