I never do literature inspired art, but I felt compelled to draw because I have a Snape-like void in my life now.
"Little man," I said, "tell me that it is only a bad dream--this affair of the snake, and the meeting-place, and the star..."
But he did not answer my plea. He said to me, instead:
"The thing that is important is the thing that is not seen..."
The Little Prince, Chapter 26
was nice enough to pose for me. Reluctant, of course. And then he wanted to show me his own take on the scene by contorting his limbs on the floor, staring up into space, and letting his tongue hang out the side of his mouth. He's a lovely man, really.
I love the picture. The perspective is lovely! My eyes were instantly drawn to his hand clutching at his throat... the half-closed eyes and mouth came next into my view...
This is just so beautiful! I love Snape and I always will. His character is so fill with emotions and he was written very well. I love this drawing and it shows you all the emotion he felt.
